Hold on tight, Tokyo Revengers fans! Another episode of this heart-racing anime has just dropped, and we’re here to give you the lowdown on all the juicy details.
The episode starts with Takemichi attending Mitsuya’s funeral, but he soon discovers that his friend was strangled to death, and to make matters worse, Hinata also died in a car accident. Cue the waterworks as Takemichi sobs uncontrollably and runs away from the funeral.
In a daze, Takemichi notices a key to his old, run-down apartment fall out of his pocket. Somehow, he’s back living there, and he finds a photograph of him and his old gang before he returned to the future. Suddenly, Naoto appears and drops a bombshell: everyone in Toman, including Chifuyu, Hakkai, Mitsuya, Draken, Kazutora, Haruki, and even Kisaki, have been murdered, and the killer is none other than Mikey himself.
Takemichi is in denial and refuses to believe it, but Naoto urges him to meet Mikey and get to the bottom of things. They soon discover a letter and a photograph from Mikey in the Philippines, where he wants to meet Takemichi on January 20th.
With the keys to the bike Mikey gifted him in hand, Takemichi heads to the junkyard with Naoto to find Mikey. After some searching, Takemichi finally lays eyes on an adult Mikey and breaks down in tears. But things take a dark turn when Mikey admits to killing all their friends and asks Takemichi to kill him with a gun he gives him.
Takemichi is torn and doesn’t want to believe that Mikey has truly changed. But when Mikey threatens to kill Takemichi if he doesn’t do it first, Naoto arrives on the scene and shoots Mikey, revealing that the safety was on all along.
As Mikey lies dying in Takemichi’s arms, he apologizes for everything and thanks Naoto for ending his life. Takemichi is devastated, but he’s also more determined than ever to set things right and change the course of fate.
Sure, some may criticize the show for its repeated failures and seemingly hopeless future. But for those of us who love a good mystery with tangled intricacies, Tokyo Revengers delivers in spades. We can’t wait to see what twists and turns lie ahead in the next episode. Bring it on!
