Welcome One Piece fans to episode 1048 which covers the manga chapter 1024, where the drama reaches new heights! On top of the Skull Dome, we see Yamato, the son of Kaidou, the Beast King, launching a bold attack with the intention of freeing Wano from his tyrannical rule. But Kaidou is not one to be underestimated, as he counters with a devastating blow that sends Yamato flying.

As the dust settles, we take a trip down memory lane to see a young Yamato, known as the “Oni Princess” to the Beast Pirates, being held captive by his own father and incessantly declaring himself to be “Oden.” Kaidou, recognizing the potential of Yamato’s Haoshoku Haki, throws him into a cave with powerful samurai with the intention of forcing them to join his crew. But as it turns out, the samurai have a different plan in mind. They treat young Yamato with warmth and kindness, and after ten grueling days, they hatch a plan to break out and fight Kaidou to save Yamato’s life.

Fast forward to the present, an enraged Yamato confronts his father, demanding to know why he stole both his and Wano’s freedom. Kaidou, as always, remains unruffled and the two engage in an epic Haoshoku Haki-imbued clash that will leave you on the edge of your seat. Will Yamato be able to break free from Kaidou’s grip and save Wano? Tune in to episode 1048 to find out!
